The synagogue glass pyramid is an unforgettable presence in the suburban Philadelphia landscape, day and night. The synagogue is open for tours. Beth Sholom was listed as a national historic landmark in 2007. Legend has it that this beloved dessert originated in the kitchen of the Tatin sisters, who operated a hotel in the French town of Lamotte-Beuvron. While making a pie for guests, one sister mistakenly placed the prepared apples in the dish first. She decided to lay the pastry crust on top, and turn it out after it finished baking. The result was unusual but delicious, and it became the signature dish of hotel Tatin. Named for this famous French upside-down apple tart, the enameled cast iron tart Tatin is a capable alternative for a variety of recipes like pizza and quiche when used in place of a conventional pie dish.

I’m giving this rug two stars not because of the quality but because of the discrepancy in color and design between online photos and the actual rug. There is almost no color in this rug which is not what the online pics show, and to even see the color that is there you have to be standing on the rug or close to…once you’re across the room, all you can see are the linear weave lines in a neutral color. I hesitated for a long time buying this rug because it’s a 10x14 and not easy to package and send back. I don’t think I should have to pay 75 for return shipping when I didn’t receive the item as pictured. As far as the rug itself, it’s soft and has a nice texture. The quality seems ok.
