This is a fairly substantial outdoor cat-house. We have a few strays that we care for, and I want to be sure they have somewhere to go this winter (besides going under our front porch!). I will probably do a little more to ensure it's warm inside, like getting an appropriately-sized outdoor heating pad (the floor does have a space that a cord can fit through, which is great). This is a true sanctuary for feral cats backed by research and designed for the real essential survival needs of the Outdoor feral cat. The exterior is made of fir wood suitable for outdoor use. Very easy to assemble, one person can assemble it in half an hour.

My feral cat had kittens in this box about 4 months ago and has been sleeping in it at night ever since. She goes underneath to lay in the shade, and also sits on top of the house to get a view. It’s cute watching her teach her kitten how to use it. Whole thing is insulated in the interior and made of wood. The wood will start to split in the weather which hasn’t affected it structurally so far, but if you’re handy it would make sense to cover the exterior with a coat of poly.
