Contractor determined mother board was bad. Manufacturer Summit warranty begins at date of purchase; mine was installed 10 months later; of course, October 2020 is WAYYY outside warranty, and Summit will not address or repair, even if I return it to them. I understand, but this is lousy customer service. I will pursue, but if you don't install immediately upon purchase, beware. Very disappointed. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. Upon opening package, we found a Broken ceramic igniter and bent small burner plate. Inaccurate website, says it’s for liquid propane, but it’s actually for natural gas!
