I’ve had the six stage model RCC7P – AK for about a year. I’m just now doing my first filter change, all, but the RO Membrane. I have a bit of an unconventional installation. My system is about 20 feet from the water supply in the sink drain. I’ve had it installed on the floor. But for this filter change, I mounted it to the wall about 12 inches above the floor with support under the filters. That will make future filter changes much easier in the future. Couldn’t be happier with the system. Great system, great tasting water with very effective filtering. The 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter removes dirt and other various larger-sized particles from the water that can clog the following filters. The second and third filter is a duo 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filters. The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances. The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar. I-spring’s customer support is exemplary and I am quite pleased with the filter system that I purchased. I also love the fact that the customer support isn’t outsourced to a foreign country. I bought the i-spring jumbo spin down sediment 50 micron filter because of the design and re-usable filter. However, after we installed the system we soon realized that the micron size was too small for our needs. I reached out to the customer support to learn if they had any recommendations. I had the pleasure of working with Sean from customer support who took a genuine interest helping find a solution for my situation. He took the time to review my water lab results and other material that I presented and concluded that I needed a larger sized micron screen and sent me a 200 micron filter. The design of the product is solid. I have the automatic flushing version. I do wish that there was an option programmed into the settings where you could drain the water longer than 90 sec intervals. The product did come with a manual knob but we had trouble getting that to work so we have been using pliers to turn open the valve. I will be recommending this product to a couple of my neighbors. Thank you I-Spring and Sean! 08/22/25 Update After 3 years of using this product it is still holding up well. Recently the o-ring shrink which caused the system to heavily leak. I went to the website to order a replacement o-ring and discovered that they were out of stock due to tariff issues. I called iSpring and had the pleasure of talking to Michele. I've lived in this home for almost 8 years. The water about twice a year seems to be "shocked" with chlorine. Now my water test according to the state report is some of the cleaner in the state of NC, but the taste is horrible. The TDS tested at 43 and the chlorine was almost as high as pool water level. So my fiance and myself, after much research, decided on ispring. Cost, customer reviews, install and how it tailored to our issues were why we chose it. Chlorine was drying out our skin, causing itching, and damaging our hair and probably damaging our mitochondria if I had guess. Immediately after I got the whole house system installed and the system purged it was night and day. We've notice more energy, less stomach issues, our hair is easily brushed/combed. We can cook and bathe with the same tap water. I also added the RCC7AK for reverse osmosis to drink. The reverse osmosis water IS BETTER THAN ANY ALKALINE BOTTLED YOU CAN BUY!. Jamie. Wed May 24 2023
