The island did have one flaw a chip out of the top corner of the table and someone from the factory or warehouse colored it in with marker. It was small but very noticeable. This cart is functional, pretty, and exactly what I needed for my kitchen space. Solid wood, easy to put together. The instructions were clear, and easy to follow. It lost one star because I only received one cabinet knob, not two, and had to run to the hardware store to purchase replacements to complete the build. The customer service center was closed for the weekend by the time I realized the error, but regardless I wanted it completed, so off I went. Replacement knobs in hand, the rest of the assembly went smoothly. Getting the top placed correctly was a teensy bit tricky, I do wish there had been some indication as to what was the front or back, but I managed to get it done. For the price, this was a very good buy! I do wish the wheels would lock better to keep it in place. And I'm not sure how long the top will last with heavy baking use - but I love the extending table! And it fits well with our new white kitchen cabinets. We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was.
