The Leg and Shelf are well made of sturdy material, with no issues with wobble after locking down the wheels. This crafting table is on casters that lock/unlock which makes it easy to move without scratching the new floors but also stationary when needed. The sewing machine, cutting & pinning tools will fit on the shelves which are great for storage purposes and easy accessibility. This sewing table can be easily folded to 12" W and fits into a tight spot for storage. I was a little skeptical because this Kitchen Island was fairly inexpensive. I opted to pay to have it assembled and that was done today. I love it. It has as much space as i hoped since it was only 43" long and the cabinets and drawers are ample size to hold a lot of kitchen items. This is so much more useful than the table and chairs for two that I had there before. The Island is sturdy, attractive and versatile. The stools are very comfortable. My only complaint is that before ordering I called Wayfair customer service to find out if I could purchase the item but delay delivery. The person i spoke to assured me that as soon as I had a tracking number I could contact Fed Ex and reschedule. I got the tracking number too late to stop the delivery which came in two days instead of three as noted on the order. Most people would not complain about this but I had a flight the day of delivery; luckily it arrived before I had to leave for the airport. I love the island! It did take a long time to put together (for 1 woman with no power tools) but the directions were straightforward. There are A LOT of screws (48 just on the cabinet doors) so a power screw driver would save a lot of time. A second person would also be very helpful. It is heavy. It came in 2 boxes and took 45 minutes just to unpack and check the pieces. I spent about 4 hours each over 2 days. A second person could easily cut the time in half because they could split tasks, like building the drawers and putting hardware on cabinets doors while the other builds the base. Bought this for my mom’s new place. I’ve been putting a lot of furniture together recently and this was actually not that hard to put together. I will say- you have to pay attention to every picture because I definitely ended up putting 2 parts together wrong and then needed to back track slightly. It still only took 2.5hrs for me to put together and i only needed mild help with lining up the screws and holes since lifting a part of the island and lining them up was difficult. If you are someone who hates allen wrenches i have great news - this is put together almost 100% with just plain old screws and a screwdriver. The last part does use an allen wrench but only for 8 screws and it is done. All the parts are labeled and for the most part packaged in order of the parts you need.
