It’s big enough to hold tents, hiking gear and ropes. I didn’t find it worth putting sleeping bags or larger bags in. I need to get smaller containers for my smaller items. It didn’t work too well that I put them in ziplocks and then in the larger containers - it was very hard to find. It’s great that it’s clear and stack very well. The bottom of it fits right into the lid with an inset and doesn’t slide off.
