I bought these salad plates to replace the ones I had broken over the years from my Sophie Conran set that I purchased about 12 years ago. Most of the damage came from accidentally dropping them because Sophie Conran dishes are incredibly resilient. None of my original plates have chipped over the years, which really says a lot about the quality. I was honestly surprised at how well my original plates have held up. The glaze on the new plates matches my 12 year old plates so closely that it’s difficult to tell the difference between them. In the photo I included, the plate on the left is brand new and the plate on the right is from my original collection purchased 12 years ago. They are still just as shiny and beautiful.
