I really do love everything about this crate (so far). That is to say, I love the way it looks. I spent days looking at different furniture crates and had an aha moment when I found this one online. It was the perfect vibe for the aesthetic of my home. When it arrived I unpacked everything and inventoried all of the parts. Check. Then I read through the directions and it said it would take two people an hour to put it together. Uncheck. My dad and mom both came over to help. My dad is a carpenter and builder. It took us five hours and a lot of curse words to put it together. Was it worth it? At the time, no. But now that it's together, I'm glad we persevered. It really is a nice, sturdy piece. As for functionality? We'll see. I'm bringing an eight-week-old puppy home in a few weeks and imagine things will be pretty mild at first. The real test will be in a few months to see if the gates hold up. They aren't not sturdy, but they're also not affirmingly solid. This is a beautiful crate. Perfect size for my 15 pound dog. It's obviously so much nicer than a traditional metal crate. I was initially concerned that the lock would be too weak to keep the door closed, but it's great! It's a very secure lock. The crate door slides up and under the drawer, which saves on space. I have one in the front and one on the back. It wont let me do more than one photo in the app. At first I thought my dog was too big and tried it with the pillow put. Then after they kept coming out of it I put the pillow back and they loved it. And could 100 see out. Easy peasy and Im so happy I got them.
