We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.
