As nice as the jar is... it is not what I wanted. If you would like a mercury glass look then you'll be on the right track, but I had thought this would be more like an antique green glass jar. This hurricane/jar is very sparkly... and unlike the photos it is more gold and brown than anything near green tones. The frame inside is well built but does protrude a little more around the throat of the jar where the 3 prongs are... not necessary, in my opinion.
