Why in the world the previous owner installed white ceiling fans on a brown house is beyond me!! I hated the old fan, how dirty it was and how it didn't match the exterior of the house in any way at all. So, I stumbled upon this GREENEVER outdoor ceiling fan and knew it would be perfect! The fan was fairly easy to install (cramming the remote box into the housing without crimping wires is always the hardest part!). The ABS blades will hold up in any weather, yet don't look like plastic. The fan is totally quiet - not a sound! I love this hood. I couldn't find a black one in local stores, so I was happy to find this one. When it first arrived it was dented, but the manufacturer replaced it. Our contractor vented it outside the house. He had to put some trim at the top to cover the holes, but it looks great! The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet.
