Carpet is as described. It is soft and the texture is great for high traffic areas. I had a runner already for 3 years that is exactly the same product so I know first hand that it can take a beating, although it has lost a little bit of softness but that is a given. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
