This is my first stick vacuum, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would give the suction 3 stars and the features 5 stars. I love the charging stand, I'm glad it doesn't have to go on the wall. It's also light and gets into corners easily. Carpet is as described. It is soft and the texture is great for high traffic areas. I had a runner already for 3 years that is exactly the same product so I know first hand that it can take a beating, although it has lost a little bit of softness but that is a given.
