When I first receive my order the frame was broken and Wayfair wanted to give me a 25.00 discount for a picture that was 170.00 dollars make no sense. This is my first stick vacuum, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would give the suction 3 stars and the features 5 stars. I love the charging stand, I'm glad it doesn't have to go on the wall. It's also light and gets into corners easily. However, it doesn't easily suck up thing like Cheerios and chocolate chips that my toddler leave behind. That part is frustrating. I still need a broom to pick up larger items.. Douglas. Carpet is as described. It is soft and the texture is great for high traffic areas. I had a runner already for 3 years that is exactly the same product so I know first hand that it can take a beating, although it has lost a little bit of softness but that is a given.
