Perfect for what it is. It's not exactly the size I wanted but it's beautiful it holds a ton of stuff I have everything in there from books to Christmas decorations to cords from every electronic thing I own, whole shelf of liquor bottles a whole shelf of wine glasses. I wanted something to go underneath a gallery wall of sculptures. I wanted something vintage couldn't find something sleek and simple. Somehow I stumbled across this and it's a beautiful acorn warm color golden brown not muddy it is all wood except for of course the back which is against the wall and I couldn't care less what it is. It's a very heavy piece so a solid back would have made it even worse. The drawers are on rails and easy to open and shut. The sliding panels are very very slidey! Maybe a bit too slidey actually! My husband put it together but I could have if I were a little taller and stronger. Follow the instructions, be methodical lay out all the pieces carefully before beginning and it's not really that difficult I think he did it in about 90 minutes maybe tops. It's attractive it's sleek it saves us 5 in over the bulky thing that we had there before depth wise, the drawers are just seemingly bottomless but then I was used to it 2 inch deep drawer on an old buffet. The 42 inch height turned out to be kind of perfect because I can still put my tall lamp on there underneath my sculptures. So I'm very pleased to, another Wayfair win! Arrived in 3 days I think after ordering, very well packed not a scratch on it not a dent not a scuff. I don't know what kind of wood rubber wood is but I've had other pieces made out of rubber wood that lasted for 35 years without a mark on them. It is filled and sturdy and easy to access and still low enough that you can set some keys on it or the candy dish or whatever. Really love it! Still got a bunch of junk around it and on it I'm still in rearranging mode from the old piece of furniture. This this is in a short sort of haul/turn from our long living room into the nook where our bedroom door opens. So we traverse this little area millions of times a day with laundry baskets and whatever we're leaving the bedroom with or taking in. Now we have 5 in more room. We were so excited to find a matching changing dresser for our Harper 3-in-1 crib! It is really a beautiful dresser. It’s crisp and clean lines look great in our gender neutral nursery with goldcopper accents. The drawers have a gold ring in stead of protruding hardware to pull out the drawers. This is actually the only thing we don’t love. While it looks stunning, it’s not quite as functional as there isn’t much space for your fingers to curl to grasp the drawer and pull them out within the circles and it is a little “rough” on the creases of your fingers! Ok, this is a great looking chair, but the hook for me was that it is listed as a down filled seat cushion. I'm a sucker for well done down furniture. When it arrived I was sad to discover the only thing that was down filled was the throw pillow (which quite honestly was not well done and I tossed right away). All that being said it is a beautiful chair. If your not in it for the oshhh of down furniture, it's a no brainer. Wonderful piece. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great solid wood bookcase but the sides of the bookshelf can be a bit wobbly. Durability is there but I would be hesitant to overload it with anything too heavy. Tolerances are slightly off between the individual shelves and the sides of the bookcase causing a bit of a gap to be present between the two edges.
