My only complaint is that it should have been simple to put together, but it was not. The screw holes did not align with each other very well, and it was really hard to work around that with two screws in particular. Wonderful Bench! We needed something pretty and practical. A place for storing linens and for piling our pillows from our king-sized bed when we retire for the evening. This is a good storage bench. The larger area has an adjustable optional shelf. The cushion is soft enough for extra seating but firm enough to be sturdy. I was able to put it together myself, but it was frustrating at times. Many of the holes aren’t drilled properly, making it hard to screw in things. The two doors for the larger part aren’t close enough, so you can see a space. The thing to lift up the cushion was especially difficult to screw in.
