Love love the ceiling fan. This is a very beautiful accent to my home, however, if I can not find a chrome downrod to extend the length I will have to return this item. I have very high vaulted ceilings on a slant and they provided a 8 in downrod. I have scoured the earth to find a compatible downrod. Not only do most not carry chrome they are threaded on one end and the ones from this manufacturer are not. I have called the manufacturervendor five times and left messages. Do you think they had the decency to return the call (fingers tapping on counter) Update....I was finally able to find the chrome down rod and got everything assembled only to find the remote motor that runs the remote control is bad. I was skeptical about this purchase because it was not rated at all, but I can say, it's perfect for my bedroom! It's not a heavy fan - meaning the box was so much lighter than other ceiling fans, but it serves the purpose and looks a cross between elegant and useful :) I have not tried it yet, but it looks good.
