I was expecting the blades to look more natural. They are plastic and they look like plastic. Everything else is metal and high end. The fan works perfectly and so does the light. When the fan is on high it is very quiet and is so effective I only need my air conditioning on very hot days. This fan is wonderful, we highly recommend it. It was very easy to install. The colors are closer to a red burgundy than brown in person, and the tops of the fans are a weird yellow color.
