I am not going to lie. I was leery, but my expectations were exceeded just on the packaging alone! Took me about an hour to put together, instructions were easy-ish to follow. The operation is smooth, very quiet when moving up/down. The wiring threw me off a bit, as the light controller is in the box with the desk and everything else is in the box with the frame. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. The chair has more movement than a regular office chair, it raises higher than an office chair, so I am level with my computer screen and my neck is not stressed from looking up. The built-in power outlets are nice, no more crawling under the desk. It is, however, not easy to put together. It has a lot of parts, so be prepared to dedicate time to that and it takes a couple of hours for the assembly when doing it all alone. The fact that there were no gliders for the drawers is a bit disappointing, because they just hang when pulled out. The original desk I received had some scratches on a couple of parts and the wooden dovels provided to connect the desk top were fragile and broke during the assembly. Reached out to Wayfair support with the part number needed to replace the damage and they were so understanding and supportive enough to provide a new free replacement and told me to dispose off the original desk that was no longer functional.
