All purpose: Lexel is a co-polymer rubber-based sealant. It has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of materials, even after seven days of water immersion. Although it's tougher and resists tearing, Lexel is a soft rubber. This allows it to stretch and compress with joint movement.

When I called the vendor, I clearly stated I planned to use this product to store olive oil bottles with 2.5” diameters. The customer service lady talked to the “engineers” who said the bottles would fit in each compartment. They do not-as you can see in the attached photo…I guess I will use it for an herb garden… What a waste of expensive hard plastic… Next time, have a simple ruler handy for your “engineers…”. Alan. IRIS USA Clear Non Latching Box

These boxes are similar to the 16 quart Sterilite boxes in capacity and dimension. Where they differ is that these are a bit flimsier and made of a more flexible plastic. Also, the lid does not snap tightly. I recommend these for very light storage such as linens or clothing. They don't do so well for storing items in my workshop. Good product value. Good customer service. My order shipped missing 4 blue latches out of 12 boxes. I contacted customer service and they asked me if I wanted reimbursement or replacement. I told them to just ship me 4 more latches which they did. The latches arrived promptly and I installed them. No hassle, no problem. I would have given a 5 but I did have to get missing latches..
