I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. Product is good but has a couple issues. The fabric is soft, the color is accurate and overall I like the loveseat. However, be aware that the reclining mechanism is spring loaded so can be difficult to close when sitting in the recline position and there is no positive locking of the reclining position. It stays in place by your weight being in the chair. Also, to relcline fully you need a lot of space behind the recliner. The center section doesn't move with the recliner so that's another drawback. I mean, not a big issue but does block conversation between the seats. Overall, I probably would have opted for a different model with power had I known these issues.. C. Armuchee, GA. I like most of the aspects of the cover however it is ridiculous that instead of straps going underneath the camper to secure the cover you must pull a string and cut it for each loop and tie it on both sides. The cover went on quickly with two people. The white top covers the AC and satellite receiver loosely. The gray sides fit tightly on the body of the camper, but still pulls down to the bottom. After protecting it from a sharp gutter outlet, I am confident that the cover will survive the winter in good shape. The triangles on the tie-downs distribute the load into the fabric.
