This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. I have had this installed and in operation for about 6 months. The unit arrived undamaged and on schedule. The installation was ok but the mounting brackets of the unit are a little under designed. I added addition bracket to help secure the weight as it is not light. Be sure to consider that you need to plumb in venting that is at least 10" in diameter to carry the 900 cfm. This was installed in our new construction home about two weeks ago. It looks fantastic. It’s quality is fantastic. You will likely need to purchase an additional piece for the chimney extension that prevents back drafts (a damper) that doesn’t come with it in order to meet code, but it is cheap and easy to get a hold of.
