As soon as my husband sat in it, we realized the issue with the arms. To remedy this, I bought two bolster pillows so my husband can rest his arms on them. We’ve had our recliners (and coordinating couch) for a couple weeks now and we couldn’t be happier. It came at just the right time too! I love this loveseat sofa! It's easy to clean, very comfortable to sit on, and it's a great color. I put this together myself, but really struggled due to my disability.
