I ordered these chair mats recently and was a little surprised that they felt pretty cold when they arrived. If you’re ordering during the winter, I’d recommend letting them sit at room temperature for a while before unrolling them. Once they warmed up and I followed the instructions, they flattened out without any issues. So far they’ve been working really well. My chair glides smoothly on the carpet now, which is a big improvement from before. They also look nice and are easy to wipe clean, so maintenance has been simple. Great chair cushion. They are one piece with a tie on either side between the back and seat portion. So far, the elastic strap in the back does appear to hold the back in place (as opposed to more ties). Neither firm nor plush. They were left out when a light raining came through and the rain formed droplets on the cushions and did not soak into the material.
