The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. So far so good. The installation was tough as the template supplied for the alignment of the screw holes on the back didn't really work. We had to modify the holes on the back. It arrived quite quickly, protected by plastic wrap and white foam. Installation was a bit tricky—we had a very basic, older-style hood before—but this new one has incredible suction power. We are currently in the process of adding the ductwork to vent it outside. Upgraded my 50-year old hood with this really cool stainless steel hood. It looks nice and has features I didn’t have before. My husband is very impressed with the quality of the materials. Everything works well. It is loud on the highest setting, but there are four settings so you can turn it down when you don’t need it that high. I think I would only need the highest setting for something that is going to be smokey. I like the hand wave control, since that will keep dirty finger prints off the nice stainless steel. The LED lights are bright. The baffle filters have handles you just lift up and slide to remove and wash them. I love the ease of maintenance.
