Five stars for the furniture— Beautiful and elegant. However it is much darker in person. The photo online gives an amber appearance, but it is really a dark walnut. Key details are wonderful. Zero stars for the delivery—My only complaint is the delivery service. The delivery is free, but they damaged my entire staircase wall. The movers decided to not remove the packing and bring it upstairs. Without removing the packing, it was bulky and heavy so they dragged it across my 90 year old wood panels and damaged them. This is a beautiful light fixture that gives you a ton of flexibility in how to hang the light. We have a little bit of an awkward ceiling/soffit over our large peninsula. This light fixture worked perfectly for us to draw the eye away from the soffit portion. Be aware that one of the 3 lights/bulbs is smaller … it’s hard to tell in the photo but maybe it’s in the description and I missed it. Anyway, you will want to buy matching bulbs - 2 regular and 1 candelabra. I recommend soft white or warm white. We had to use what we had on hand because I didn’t realize the bulbs were different sizes. We haven’t had a chance to change them yet so they will match as they are rather difficult to change. Bidjar is a town in Kurdistan located in north-west . The Bidjar name is also used to describe the antique rugs that were produced in the many villages in the surrounding vicinity. The Bidjar is noted as being the stiffest carpet made; they are very heavy in relation to their size, and very thick and durable. All of the knots are symmetrical and the rows are beaten down during the weaving process producing a dense compact fabric. Given their thickness and construction Bidjar rugs can be difficult to fold. The many designs depict the Kurdish influence of the area and often floral and classical geometric motifs are employed as well as the use of large, whimsical medallion designs. The color palate is rich and jewel toned making the Bidjar a highly desirable rug sought after by designers.
