This product is a replacement for the 6kw unit that i had for 10 years. I actually don't have a use for the lights and speakers as my shower is already done. Not very happy with the programmability of the unit. You can only run the unit in 30 min increments. So if it takes 15 minutes to get up to temp you have to run it for another 30 + 15 remaining from the preheat. Maybe I'll find a way to not have to add 30 min. This unit is plenty large for our shower. We'll create a full steam experience in about five minutes. It did require a bit more electrical work, as it definitely pulls some wattage. We also had to buy a steam tray to set the unit on in a separate transaction, but you must have this. The 2 small round silver at the bottom of shower is where the steam comes out. Super easy to add essential oils for relaxing or invigorating experience. Steamspa / SWCorp does not service their products. When something goes wrong you have to open up the unit and troubleshoot yourself or pay a contractor to do it. Mine worked for about six months then stopped producing steam. Warranty covers almost nothing. It doesn't cover "parts", so I'm not sure what it covers. Customer service offered to sell me a new one at a 20% discount or buy new heating elements and drain valve since the tank is not draining. None of this is covered under warranty.
