My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.

The diverter replacement was great. Originally ordered it for the shower remodel and it came in but the diverter was damaged a d reordered a new set only to find several pieces were missing in the box. Ordered the diverter by itself and received it quick then the 3rd set we ordered finally arrived arrived about 4 weeks late. We ordered from Delta directly, ordered one from the showroom and ordered one online just to get the shower done and see which venue would get it to us first. This valve seems to be a serious one but can’t comment yet on full functionality since the remodel is still going on. Wayfair should review timelines for submitting reviews and increase to 6-12 months the timeframe so that customers can give more informed view on the product. The installer had no issues in plugging everything in, i have used it with copper lines, the stops are really useful to test everything and the preliminary tests were working all good.
