My review is between and 3/4 star. This is a beautiful birdhouse, well made, quality materials. The issue is no easy way to clean this out at the end of the season. Absolutely adorable bird house. We call it "The White House." We mounted it to a tree just outside of our sunroom, great room and dining room side of the house. And we also hung a bird feeder below it, so excited to see what bird type takes occupancy in their new birdie white house! Tip: Get the bird seed called "Squirrel Away" from Chewy (see pic); otherwise, the squirrels will eat all of the bird seed within a day or two. Love this bird house!!! Detail and quality is amazing! Highly recommended, and arrived in perfect shape. The lighthouse birdhouse is a spot-on replica of the famous located at the easternmost point of Long Island, New York. The construction of the lighthouse was authorized by none other than President George Washington and bears the distinction of being the first public works project of the United States. The (in) famous pirate Captain Kidd is said to have buried treasure at the foot of the lighthouse, but it's yet to be found. This red and white lighthouse is a fully functional birdhouse featuring two nest boxes with openings, a removable back for yearly cleaning, drainage, ventilation, and unpainted interiors.
