I use this too keep a head of lettuce. The lettuce stays fresher longer. If the head is too big, I cut in half. It's absolutely fine! Just what I want in a salad spinner. I've had it for about four years now, and have had to repair the outer bowl, but only because I lifted it with one hand while it was full of water and cracked it slightly. I have just had one trial run with this machine to make sure it was running smoothly and I was very impressed. It was a daunting prospect for me to connect it to my computer as I am 77 years old but my daughter helped me to connect it up.
