Porcelain

Inspired by our hand-block printed fabric, Kelmscott Wallcovering's charming scenic design of English country life is freshly interpreted as a digitally printed grasscloth and rescaled for the story to read vertically for a wall-friendly layout. Its whimsical and scenic all-over pattern makes it a great option for libraries and bedrooms. This early twentieth-century design was discovered in an English archive including the original wood blocks cut in July 1924.

Pewter

The Milanese Armor that inspired our Milan Diamond Grasscloth and Appliqué Tape is a unique example of Italian armor made with German influences. Created around 1510, this rare example with fluted surfaces in German fashion is etched with Christian symbolism and references to the Bible, including images of the Virgin and Child and saints Paul and George as well as Latin inscriptions. The armor is adorned with richly gilt ornamentation that we’ve emulated in our products, which will add charm to any room they’re featured in. This wallcovering is made of laser-cut metallic cork appliquéd on grasscloth. The mix of materials in this textile creates an interesting texture that is both eye-catching and understated. The Kallista 80" Wide Sideboard has a dark sapphire blue finish that enlivens the sycamore veneers cladding its doors. These are set into a caviar black credenza sitting atop a metal base in an antique brass finish, which matches the tone of tailored door pulls. The way the wood veneers are applied brings depth, texture, and movement to this navy-blue credenza that is dressy enough for the most sophisticated home office and the most refined business settings.

Magnus is a wallpaper with a 13.3 cm wide stripe. Block stripes are a classic that works well on their own or combined with a pattern. This creates magnificent rooms suitable for both the minimalist and the seeker of extraordinary designs.

Combat on foot between contestants separated by a waist-height barrier was a popular sport in European courts during the 16th and 17th centuries. Our Saxony products are inspired by the patterning on combat armor commissioned for Christian I of Augsburg during the 16th Century. The gilded adornments cover the breastplate and additional detailed areas to give the work a sense of craftsmanship and regal delicacy. The design is embroidered on linen and cotton fabric to emulate the decorative ironwork pattern of the armor's breastplate. The fabric is paperbacked for the wall and its dimensional stitching evokes a sense of delicacy, which juxtaposes the inspirational iron artifact itself. This stately wallcovering would make a memorable grand foyer or an elegant dining room and coordinate with Saxony Embellished Tape. The Karlson sideboard is made of solid oak covered with natural vellum veneer. The caviar black finish on the frame complements the artful pattern on the doors. Soft-close hinges, eight adjustable shelves, adjustable glides, a center foot with a leveler, cord management, and an anti-tip kit make this tan and black credenza a well-made choice.

I will admit I was a bit worried because I had seen some photos that showed the front of the product as a slightly different color that I did not like. I took a chance and the item is exactly what I was hoping. The quality is excellent and the color just right. The impressively sized brass flower pull on the Briallen Demi-Lune is stunning ornamentation. A bright accent on the cerused white oak, the brass floral motif in a brass finish brings the white cabinet a sophisticated feel and illustrates the skill of our artisans who hand-cast the handle in brass. We offer the Briallen in a number of designs and in several finishes.

Spring Green

It is easy to understand why this wallpaper was chosen to decorate Lofstad Castle’s most elegant suite. A unique spring green pattern, it combines finesse with uncomplicated decoration in its graphic patterns. The wallpaper got its name from Miss Emilie’s sister, Sophie Nordenfalk, who always lodged in the room bearing this wallpaper. The original was created with the help of woodcut blocks, resulting in a hand-painted expression. Today, a traditional surface print method gives the contemporary wallpaper the same impression.
