My 15 year-old yellow lab, Bella, passed away at the beginning of December. She was a fighter until the end. She beat cancer, one hit and run, and a false dx by a vet that would have had us put her down years earlier. The day she passed we saw a blue and green hummingbird linger by us a few feet from where she lay. It lingered ever so and then flittered away. These hummingbirds are a representation of what we considere to be her spirit saying “hello, I’m okay” that day.
