i put this in my living room last week and it make the space feel way more warm and nice, not just in heat but in mood too. the fire colors are fun to change, and the little lights on the shelf look better at night than i expected, honestly. i use the remote when i feel lazy on sofa, which is most days anyway. the heat is decent for my apartment area, not super strong like real fire of course, but enough for chilly evening when i watch tv and drink cafe con leche. i also like the flame without heat, so it still looks cozy even when weather is not cold. shelves are handy for books and little decor, mine has one candle and family photo now. assembly took me a bit, maybe close to 2 hours, and instructions was ok but not perfect. still, once done, it looks comfertable and homey.. Excellent machine and a very good machine. My reason for the double take is because of small or tiny bootie socks. With this washing machine compared to other front load I have owned before this one gets a small sock stuck in the drain in the rubber below where the door is located every now and then (nothing bothersome).
