But the flexibility, and relative ease (its still an air conditioner!) of taking it in and out of the window to only use when needed has been amazing. Its so quiet in my son's bedroom, but keeps him cool during his afternoon naps and has kept his room cold enough for the occasional too hot nights. I can turn it on and off with my phone so I don't have to go inside, and its so much quieter and cheaper to run than my old portable AC. We have converted our garage into a “hang out” spot with a pool table and karaoke machine etc. We love hanging out in there. Unfortunately, it is not connected with our central heat/air system. We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. We love it! The remote is handy and the timer feature is awesome. It is well-made and the as easy to install. We had to order a sleeve to slide it into, but it was very simple.
