Everything worked out well! We used this kit as sliding door instead of poker door. We covered the hardware part with wood and paint so that hardware won’t expose and it doesn’t look like a farmhouse which our house is not like that. In the original box, a set of wheels was missing. If you have a thinner or thicker door, please contact us for the correct length of the bolts for the hangers. Please notify us to put spacer extensions in the package if you have thicker doors. The spacer extension will extend the track further from the wall to fit the thicker door. If you have a door trim, you’d better put a header board that is as thick as the trim and then attach the rail to the header board. You need to have at least 6" of space between the top of the door to the ceiling to accommodate the hardware. They use two hangers to hold one door. For a single door kit, there will be two hangers in the package. For a double door kit, there will be four hangers. If you have a door that is either too wide or too heavy, then you can purchase addition hangers for that door.

Each complete track can hold door weight up to 220 lbs. Usually, we recommend the track length to be at least double the total door width or the opening. Tracks 8ft and under are one single track instead of being connected by multiple shorter tracks. racks 9ft to 16ft will be connected by two tracks. Tracks 18ft and 20ft will be connected by three tracks. Therefore, the spacing between the holes in the connecting section may not be 16''. Each complete track can hold door weight up to 220 lbs. Usually we recommend the track length to be at least double the total door width or the opening. For example, if you have two doors that are each 30'' wide. You will need 2* (30''+30'') = 120'' long track. Or if you have an opening that is 48'' wide, you will need at least 96'' long track. The minimum clearance (from top of the door to the ceiling) you need to install this barn door hardware is 6''.

If you have a thinner or thicker door, please contact Homacer for the correct length of the hex bolts of the hangers, or you can get them from your local hardware store. Please also notify Homacer to put spacer extensions in the package if you have thicker doors. The spacer extension will extend the track further from the wall to fit the thicker door. If you have a door trim, you’d better put a header board that is as thick as the trim and then attach the hardware to the header board.
