Everything worked out well! We used this kit as sliding door instead of poker door. We covered the hardware part with wood and paint so that hardware won’t expose and it doesn’t look like a farmhouse which our house is not like that. In the original box, a set of wheels was missing. The spacer extension will extend the track further from the wall to fit the thicker door. If you have a door trim, you’d better put a header board that is as thick as the trim and then attach the rail to the header board. You need to have at least 6" of space between the top of the door to the ceiling to accommodate the hardware. They use two hangers to hold one door. For a single door kit, there will be two hangers in the package. For a double door kit, there will be four hangers. If you have a door that is either too wide or too heavy, then you can purchase addition hangers for that door.

It is rust-proof, waterproof, and fireproof. The standard door thickness for our hardware is from 1 3/8'' to 1 3/4''. The spacing between each hole is American standard 16''. Tracks 8ft and under are one single track instead of being connected by multiple shorter tracks. Pre-install Notice: Only the hardware is for sale, doors are not included. If you are installing the hardware on a concrete wall, please send Homacer a message asking for bolts specifically for concrete walls. The hardware package only has lag bolts for wooden walls or drywall. Homacer sliding barn door hardware kit is compatible with door thickness. If you have a thinner or thicker door, please contact Homacer for the correct length of the hex bolts of the hangers, or you can get them from your local hardware store. Please also notify Homacer to put spacer extensions in the package if you have thicker doors. The spacer extension will extend the track further from the wall to fit the thicker door. If you have a door trim, you’d better put a header board that is as thick as the trim and then attach the hardware to the header board. From the top of the door to the ceiling, you need to have clearance for u shape bracket bypass hardware. All tracks that are under coming in one piece. All tracks that are above are connected by two tracks using a junction plate.

This was the only hardware I could fine with a solid rail. The kit arrived well packaged and I am impressed with the overall quality of materials and the instructions. The rail is solid, and the mouning hardware is really well designed, with adjustable spacers depending on your configuration. I did not want the metal straps on the front of the door, so I opted for the top mount configuration. I outsmarted myself and added another 1/4" to the recommended height, and I should not have done that. Use the 2" rail stops from the top of the door and you will be fine, even if you are installing over a carpet floor, like I was. I also wound up trimming the rail because I have a perpendicular wall next tot he door. I used a small hack saw, which worked OK, but it took some time and effort. Perhaps a circular grinder would have been better. Regardless, it worked out fine and looks great. I definitely recommend this hardware if you are haning a barn door.. Robert. San Diego, CA.
