Very heavy, solid, and appears very difficult to scratch or damage. I got it to use freestanding with the grey platform bed shown which did not come with a headboard. This is for my 14 year-old son. I think it coordinates very nicely of the furniture in the room, and I really like the rustic appearance. It was on sale and I really am happy with the appearance for something under 300. The final product is very nice. I had a rough time with delivery. It was delivered with no screws ! I called the enclosed phone number and had them send the hardware. I wanted longer than the expected wait period. Called back and found out that the hardware was on back order but the representative put a rush on it and I finally got the hardware as you can see in the photo. The dresser has a drawer safety lock system where only one drawer can be opened at a time to prevent tipping. Great concept! It did come with a scuff inthe leg but can easily be painted over.. This dining set is a gentle softness.

We had a very difficult time getting the 2 table top halves to separate to reveal the leaf. It turns out, the manufacturer physically **drilled screws** into the bottom of the table closed and there was nothing in the instructions telling us this detail. These "remove" block pieces blend in with the rest of the wood on the bottom of the table. They did stamp "remove," on them but again, these blocks blend into the table and unless you know to look for them, they can easily be missed. The bottom also has some interior damage I'm assuming from transit but it's hidden so I guess not a big deal aesthetic wise, but for integrity, time will tell.
