This planter is beautiful and looks to be very well made and durable. I suspect it will last through several Chicago winters. I wish I had known that there is no "bottom" to the container - as we intend to use it on a rooftop deck. This planter is meant to be placed over soil. I also wish they would provide a way to section off the lower part of the planter, so that not so much soil needs to be used. I ordered this for our front porch in our new house in GA. Hubby has not had a chance to assemble it yet because after 6 weeks we just got our belongings and the truck they were on caught fire. Much damage and missing 4000 pounds of our stuff. This won’t get assembled until he is free to do so, or if I can talk my son into it. I did open the box and look at the contents. It is very heavy duty and the box itself weight in at 101 lbs. I know it will be really nice. I just have to be patient. I’ll be back for a more thorough review and completed pictures once it’s done. I bought the gray. Oh and I did not find directions in the box. Hopefully I just missed it. I will let you know. Should be fairly easy to assemble though. There are letter markings on each piece. Update 1426 My husband finally got these heavy duty quality chairs assembled. I couldn’t use the tray or cupholders on my front porch. There just wasn’t enough room for them. However I saved them in case we decide to put them in a different location where the tray and cupholders would work. However right now they are perfect just how they are and where they are. Great quality, look, size, shape, etc. I found a similar/same item (but under a different brand) on the Wayfair site in black, but stalled to order and sale price increased from $120-ish to $166.99 in one day. Was very bummed until I found these for $104 each - the photo, dimensions and description were identical (except for color). Thought I was settling, but the brownstone color is beautiful - not a chocolate brown like I feared, just a neutral grayish-brown that's slightly speckled and really looks great. Attached is a photo next to a black container for reference. Also love that the thick lip around the planter makes it feel substantial and give it extra strength, even though its a 1-ply heavy gauge plastic pot. These are huge! Perfect for raised garden bed that won’t require bending to tend…should also keep critters out. Seem sturdy and look nice. Assembly was simple.
