The Bosch dishwasher is quiet. However, I am older and find that it has difficult instructions. It took reading the manual carefully to start. The manual did not come with the dishwasher so I had to download it from my computer. I like to manually start the dishwasher and do not want to put it on an app on my phone which the manual keeps suggesting I do. It has quite a bit of moisture inside the machine after the wash and rinse cycle are complete which is annoying. I manually wipe some of the inside of the machine. This is such an upgrade from our 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We purchased this Danby because our old a/c unit started blowing hot air. After checking to see if it needed draining, filter cleaning, checking the hose for blockages, etc., we realized it was likely not worth trying to get it repaired. We've bought Danby products before but never a/c units. So far, it's doing a great job. We have it set up in our living room, which counts as two rooms if we were to carpet it and so far, it's keeping the space nice and cool. We live in an apartment, so this works really well. The true test will be how it lasts during some of the summer's longer heat waves, but as we're experiencing mini heat waves right now (that last maybe 2-3 days), I'm happy to say that it's doing a decent job. Oh, and it's super quiet. Our other a/c unit that we have in the bedroom runs a lot louder than this one and is maybe only a year old.
