Took me about 20 minutes just to get it out of the box and unpacked, then it took way too long to assemble. I have a bad back and neck and it’s not easy for me to sit on the floor for more than a few minutes at a time. There is a part of assembly with what they call the long axis (axsi is printed in the book) that is really frustrating because you have to remove their bolt and washers from one end to install and it is covered in grease. While the assembly was a literally a pain for me, using it seems like it will be worth it. The resistance control is a dial in the center below the monitor which is different for me but seems easy enough. I connected the wires from the monitor to the hand sensors bar the only way they would connect and I’m not getting a reading from it. Honestly that’s not a big deal for me as it does not affect my performance, but I’m sure I’ll have to look at it some more to make it work. I’m just too tired right now to care. Having 4 kids, I knew this would be a big hit with my youngest son. His older brothers used to own the older Step2 model of this roller coaster, but I eventually gave it away. It arrived in many pieces, but everything was included and nothing was missing (what a relief!). It was super easy to set up, and it even came with stickers for me to apply to the design. Before I knew it, my youngest son was all over this. In fact, he cannot stop riding around on this roller coaster! From morning to night, he is on this roller coaster, which is why I still have not put it away. My husband and I decided to keep this one indoors due to the super hot weather outside, so that he can enjoy cool indoor time. Once fall is here, we will move it to our outdoor space for him and his older brother to enjoy. I love that the maximum weight is 50 pounds, which allows his older brother to bring back his toddler memories and have fun with his youngest brother! Although, I cannot tell you enough how many times a day I hear my 8-year-old and 11-year-old tell me how much they wish Step2 would create one for bigger kids to enjoy as well. Hint hint, Step2! This platinum edition is well worth it. It comes with a ride-on toy that looks like a motorcycle, a 9-foot track to ride on, and steps to climb up to the ride. It is excellent for 2 to 5-year-olds and up to a maximum of 50 pounds. This set is very well designed and safe for my toddler, who is having the time of his life!
