UPDATE 10/15/2025: The original rug I purchased in 2015 finally had to be retired a little over year ago after I spilled oil on it and couldn't get it cleaned. I was very sad about it and just didn't have any rug in my foyer for months. I then returned to Wayfair and started looking for a new rug, and after looking a dozens and dozens of options, I realized how much I still loved and missed this one, so I just ordered it again. I'm still loving it, ten years after my original purchase, and still getting compliments on it from everyone who sees it. It's a keeper!
UPDATE 9/3/2019: This rug is now nearly four years old. It still looks brand new, and I still love it every bit as much as the day I bought it. I also still receive compliments on it from visitors. Many things in my apartment have changed in the way of furniture and décor, but this rug is not going anywhere for a very long time, if ever!

OMG, how I love this rug! In my tiny apartment, the foyer also serves as the dining room. After moving here in November 2015, I wanted a rug to anchor the space -- something that was beautiful in its own right but not too busy-looking, so my space would still look "open" and not cramped.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I spent months browsing through hundreds of rugs at various online sites. I saved lots of "maybes" to my Pinterest page, but none stood out as the clear winner ... until I stumbled upon this rug. I knew instantly this was "the one." And when it finally arrived at my doorstep, it did not disappoint in the least.
I was a little worried at first because there was a strong musty odor when I unwrapped the plastic. I thought I would have to return it, but by the second or third day, thankfully, the odor was completely gone. And like others have said, it's very annoying that you can't completely remove the sticker without fear of damaging the rug. I still have a tiny sliver of the sticker left that I'm afraid to mess with, so I use that as the wrong side.
But those glitches aside, as soon as I laid the rug down, my heart just melted. It is just gorgeous! It lays down flat right away, and unlike with hardwood floors, it doesn't require any help to stay put on my vinyl flooring. It doesn't budge!
Everyone who comes to visit immediately to admire the rug - the exquisite detail, the beautiful pattern, and the way it feels. They all love to step on it and just "take it in"! And even repeat visitors will admire it again and again.
Others have mentioned the "imperfections" (though no one seems to be complaining about it). I personally don't see any imperfections. Since this is natural material, there are going to be variations in color and thickness of the material. I just see that as reflective of its personality, and I think it enhances the natural beauty of the rug. Certainly, no one who has admired it has noticed or pointed out any imperfections.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my rug, and I love how it fits into my space and does just what I was hoping it would do ... and more! Thank you, Wayfair!
P.S. Sorry if this is all scrunched up with no white space. There is lots of paragraphing my my original review, but Wayfair's web page does not acknowledge them. Developers: You can do better!. Anonymous. Sat Jan 31 2026
