The gas range is very powerful, the iron grill is sturdy and offers a flat top (no pot or pan wiggling!) for the entire range. This feature is helpful in a small kitchen with limited counter space. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. We love the look and its heat. Installation was easy. We do find we have a burned off propane smell, but we solved this by having an air purifier next to it, makes us feel its safer that way. The propane industry may tell us all its safe to breathe those off gases, but like now known re natural gas, its better to not have those, so I would always suggest a good gas removing air purifier in the room, just my opinion.. Our Triple Row burner pan is perfect for your vented fireplace of fire pit. First we start with the highest grade steel so your burner will remain trouble free. With three rows of burners you get 33% more flames than other burners. Our 14 inch deep flat pan provides a stable base for your burner. With a 1/2 inch hub on both ends allowing you to connect from either side.Please note that your incoming gas line size needs to be matched to the size of burner you want. There are many different ways to build your fire pit one way is to lay a base of lava rock and place our burner pan directly on top of the lava rocks. Now either place more lava rocks over the top of the pan or for the most incredible fire display pour Dreffco fire glass crystals over the top of the burner covering it by 1-2 inches of glass. We strongly recommend that all gas products be installed and serviced by professionals that have been certified by the NFI or WETT. The installer must conform to any and all State and/or local codes.
