Pay extra 50 to have it delivered into the house in room next to where I installed it. Well worth the extra money. Box had big hole but contents was fine. Unboxing showed just how well the product was designed. Insulation of packaging was second to none. Glass was heavy end 38”. Instructions in box was somewhat different from the video but manageable. Used templates provided and spent considerable time measuring and remeasuring to insure alignments before drilling holes into tiles walls and flooring. Amazed that it all worked out as planned. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our last dishwasher was also a Bosch, installed over 15 years ago. I was shocked (though I obviously shouldn't have been) to see that the water and electrical hookups had moved completely, making the install much more complicated for me. On the other hand, the newer leveling procedure is much nicer. Of course, we're still just getting used to it, but I fully expect this new Benchmark version to last at least as long as the old "800" model did, and be just as easy to live with. (Full disclosure, the old one would still be running fine if "someone" hadn't taken a tumble on the open door!) So far, my only quibble (and it's a large one) is that the Delay Start button has been moved to ONLY the app and is no longer on the control panel. At least let it be part of your Favorites settings! Our default has been to set a 2 hour delay when we start the dishwasher, but I doubt I'll be willing to use the app just to do that. I LOVE the new interior lighting!. Ericb. Fri May 01 2026
