Pro500SS - we recently installed this hood ourselves and was ab easy install. The instructions were easy to follow. We are very satisfied with this hood. The exhaust is really good, easy to use contol panel and we like how it looks in our kitchen. We previously had a microwave hood combo and was not good. Easy to install and looks good in the space. I’m most impressed with the fan noise, at max speed it sounds like a table fan or similar to white noise and not like a steam engine like most range hoods. So far so good. Install was relatively easy, but because of its size, having a few extra folks to help hold it in place would be a good idea. My wife and I managed, but it was a bit tricky for just us 2 folks to install and we almost gave up. The gesture control seems a bit finicky, and we can't get it to work reliably. Maybe with time we'll figure it out. The buttons work fine though, and the remote control is a nice touch. The stainless-steel finish, display, and led lights look great. Definitely an upgrade from the Broan powerpack it replaced. As far as noise, it seems to be as loud as our old Broan PM350 we replaced. The grates tend to vibrate a little, so that with the fan contributes to the noise. I was hoping for something quieter, but it's no worse than the unit it replaced, so not a deal breaker. As for airflow, it seems a bit stronger than the broan unit it replaced, which was rate for only 350cfm. This one is rated at 900cfm at max speed, but i don't have a way to measure/confirm that. The fan cage seems bigger, and it's been doing a good job so far of keeping the smells/vapors out of the kitchen while cooking. This was delivered super fast. It was packaged well. It was what we were looking for, and now that I’ve got it installed and used it a few times, I can say it works so well, and I love it. I knocked a star off because there are some frustrating (welding) stains on the stainless steel, and I got cut on a piece of sharp metal that was sticking out of it. Other than that, it’s a dream, and for the price, I don’t think we could have gotten even close with another option. I searched for literally hours for a range hood that had a CFM higher than 800, was 36" but didn't have the touch screen controls. I finally came across this range hood option since it was very decently priced. Overall, we are very happy with it especially considering what it costs. Range hoods can get quite speedy. My favorite thing about it is the real buttons! They are placed in a great spot and are super easy to turn off and on. The lights also work wonderfully. It works good getting the smells out. I would say the only con is it is a bit loud, even on the lowest fan but even with that, I would still really recommend this hood. Many viewers complained about the grates coming in a white color and not stainless steel as advertised - please note, they aren't white.
