I needed to replace my over the stove microwave, because it was ruining my cabinets with grease from cooking. I searched extensively and landed on Hauslane. The light is really the exact brightness needed for cooking and I have not had one bit of problem with grease on my cabinets since I bought this stove hood. This is a very well built range hood. Plenty of power for clearing smoke from frying and steam from hot pots. Reduction of odors from the kitchen while cooking are noticeable! Light is plenty bright and even on the highest setting, fan noise is not objectionable. Black stainless color blends well with other similar colored appliances in our kitchen from GE, Samsung, and KitchenAid. Only concerns are that you absolutely should inspect both the box and appliance prior to installation. Ours arrived with a large and noticeable dent in the hood that could not be repaired. Wayfair support was helpful swapping this. Carefully inspected the new unit prior to installation. No issues. Note this does not come with a 110v cord. If your installation is using a 110v outlet for power, you will need to purchase a grounded appliance cord separately. Note that photos were taken with light on brightest setting. The range hood came well packaged and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. As we were missing a few inches to the ceiling with the included chimney component, we ordered the longer version directly from the manufacturer. Including a picture of the range hood after install, and a second picture after painting. Our only issue with the product is that it “whistles” at its lower speeds and due to slightly inconsistent suction, the metal grills were vibrating against the lower horizontal frame. I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot.
