Personally love this gazebo! My must haves were to have both curtains and screen panels and to have netting at the top. Fit our sectional dining table easily. We have also hung lights perimeter which was easy with the plastic loops on the corners of the roof! It was fairly easy to put together though my husband is very handy. Only thing that was a little difficult was getting the canopy on the center posts once 34 were on, the last was extremely tight. But I’d rather have that than it be loose and come off! This canopy seemed like it was about a quarter inch too small and all the dimensions. Additionally the top section of the canopy ripped in a corner when I tried to pull it from the other side because it was so tight. I was able to squeeze the main canopy on the pergola base, but i couldn't get the long metal bars to squeeze into the two pockets on the short sides. I tried again the next day to pull the canvas over the side metal bars and I was successful after the fabric had stretched itself for a day, but the fabric is now straining in some places. While this will work, it takes some hand strength and patience, And maybe one busted corner. Gorgeous once it is up but it was a total pain to get the roof panels installed. The instructions were not the most helpful when you get to the roof panel, there are little black clips that per the instruction only need to be used when putting up the smaller roof panels but they are needed to hold the larger panels as they are slid in. Thus is a superior umbrella. I have used them exclusively for years. The mechanism for lowering and raising it TOTALLY UNIQUE and absolutely superior to anything I've ever seen. There is a lever arm that raises the umbrella with one single move. The canopy can be raised in moments. Same thing for lowering it. Pull the pin and lower the "arm." It's down in moments. No cranks, no ropes, no sliding arms... Nothing. One bar raises and lowers it all with one move. I live in a canyon... and the winds can come up from zero to 40mph in seconds. No exaggeration. The ACACIA Gazebo Kit is a kit and does NOT include the wood for the 4 legs or 4 headers. This is the responsibility of new owner to pick their own lumber out locally. Why did we do this? We did this to help keep the cost down, not only the cost of the lumber but also the cost of shipping heavy oversized beams. We also did this to allow for more freedom to customize with longer or shorter legs beams. As of March 2021 the lumber cost for standard pressure treated 4x4’s in the sizes required for the headers and legs would cost between $150-$200 as tested in various regions of the USA. The gazebo roof framing is made with extruded aluminum and electrostatic finish actually sends an electric charge through the paint and the frame to help cause a chemical (ionic) bond, much stronger that simple powder coating commonly found in imported versions. The custom made steel brackets, carriage bolts, and hardware all have the same industrial powder coating finish. Our canopy 2 piece covers are designed to allow for ventilation under the gazebo and to help ensure updrafts from damaging the gazebo canopy. We proudly use Outdura branded Acrylic Marine fabrics proudly made in the USA. Our factory precision laser cuts each of the canopy tops for the best fit. With 33 total colors available, we are sure that there is a color to match your exterior and your needs. Our Outdura canopies are UV protected, and designed to resist fading and staining for years.
