I have had this shower drain installed in my shower for several months now and the finish thankfully still looks new. Even though this is a drain and exposed to water, etc., the polished chrome seems to not show water spots as much. The drain itself is easy to open with the included hook and the strainer basket helps makes sure little things do not go down the drain. The strainer basket can be a little tedious to clean and it will eventually gunk up if one gets behind on cleaning but I find it to be a good reminder to keep my shower clean.
