The reality is, this stand is impeccable quality, made locally (to me) and ordering via Wayfair allowed me to make the cost palatable and use payment options to make my dream a reality. The stand does not rock, though you can feel the movement of others shifting in their own hammocks. This is a great little dehumidifier. We got it for our basement because our old one was getting old and starting to have problems. This one is smaller and a lot quieter.
