Cute as a freaking button !! Perfect size for One field type (very small) mouse habitat. A gerbil or two could use this as a transportation device to the vet and back, but not as a home habitat. The package that arrived was excellently wrapped, and reminded me of getting books by mail, with the mouse house parts disarticulated the package is quite small. Looking at the cage now out of the box and put together, I'd say two half gallon cartons of milk stood together would be the cage size in height and length , with a little more room across the depth. Just one concern, this being my first attempt at being a mouse mom and all. The exercise wheel. When putting the two halves together, there are gaps in the plastic, right in the middle of the running path. I worry that toes will get caught, which would make me very upset if my pet mouse (named Mouszer, middle name Mousey) should ever be hurt. If they get too cool, their metabolism slows(and in conditions that are too hot or too cool, they enter states of inactivity or hibernation). Maintaining the appropriate temperature is vital to bodily functions such as digestion. It is important to provide the proper temperature conditions for the animal to grow and thrive.

Received this item and it is amazingly large and heavy. The bass alone is well made and I'm actually waiting for my stand to show up before I put it all together because just the bass is heavy to the point there's no way to assemble it and not have it in place. There's a lot of heavy foam surrounding the base and the glass walls come in a separate wrap box. Even with several sections of foam broken everything was intact as far as the base and the glass sheets wrapped separately. The price was on the Hefty side but after receiving the Box and taking everything out know that it seems to be worth it. The top vent has a locking system to keep it in place and is well constructed and not just screen which is exactly the way the side vents are made as well.
